L’IMPÉRATRICE

The French disco band L’Impératrice releases their new album Pulsar on June 7, and they will be on tour this fall. They just added a date in Los Angeles (September 27th at the Shrine Expo Hall) and before that they have two sold out shows at NYC’s Terminal 5 on September 7th and September 8th. Check out their latest single ‘Love on the Other Side’.

SLIP BUTTON

Slipknot are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut album on tour with Knocked Loose, Orbit Culture and Vended and they have added a second LA show on September 14th at Intuit Dome, in addition to the previously announced date of September 13th at the same venue. The tour takes place in New York on August 12 at Madison Square Garden.

JET

Australian garage rock band Jet, who gave us the ultra-catchy “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” and one of the most infamous Pitchfork reviews ever, is coming to the US this fall for five shows: NYC’s Bowery Ballroom on 10/14 and 10/ 10/15, Nashville’s Basement East on 10/17 and Troubadour in Los Angeles on 10/20 and 10/21.

HERMANOS GUTIERREZ

The very chill instrumental guitar duo Hermanos Gutiérrez is preparing to release their new album Sonido Cosmico on June 14 and will be on tour in Nashville starting May 7. They stop in New York for two shows at Brooklyn Steel on May 18 and 19. They also recently announced West Coast dates following their performance at Newport Folk Fest. Look here for all dates.

Illuminati Hotties (musician and producer Sarah Tudzin) has announced a fall tour of North America.

CRUEL WORLD 2024

The Cruel World Festival in Pasadena, CA returns this Saturday, May 11 for its 2024 edition at Brookside at The Rose Bowl, and the regular times have been revealed. There are three phases (“Outsiders,” “Sad Girls,” and “Lost Boys”) and a number of set time conflicts that the participants must contend with.

MARY J BLIGE’S POWER OF A WOMAN’S TOP

Mary J Blige’s Strength of a Woman Summit takes place next week (May 10-12) in New York and they’ve added a number of speakers: Taraji P. Henson, Tasha Smith, Method Man, Marsai Martin, Larenz Tate, Angie Martinez, Pinky Cole, Crystal Hayslett, Misa Hylton, Bevy Smith, Claire Sulmers and Michael Rainey Jr. Mary is headlining Barclays Center on 5/11 with 50 Cent, Jill Scott and more.

THE MUSIC OF CROSBY, STILLS AND NASH

This year’s ‘The Music Of…’ benefit concert at Carnegie Hall takes place on May 13 and celebrates the music of Crosby, Stills and Nash, with performances by Todd Rundgren, Grace Potter, Yola, Iron & Wine, Rickie Lee Jones , Joseph, Shawn Colvin, Real Estate, Aoife O’Donovan, AC Newman, Neal Francis, Sammy Rae, Guster and more. Tickets are on sale and there is also a rehearsal show on May 12 at City Winery.

Dublin band SPRINTS were in the US for shows in March and have announced they will return in the autumn for their biggest US gig yet.
