Bloomside mural Walk-n-Talk will be on display this Sunday, May 5

Burien’s skyline is graced by a new bouquet!

Let’s Walk-n-Talk on Sunday May 5and stroll past the new DESC Bloomside mural, facing west, towards the afternoon sun. The mural was designed by GeneralCreativeand painted by Laurie A., Maria and Ana B.

• Date and time: Sunday, May 5, 2024. Meeting on 2:00 The walk starts at 2.15 pm
  Walk-n-Talks take place rain or shine, smiling and talking, regardless of the weather.
• Meetup location: Burien Town Square Park, on the grassy knoll. 480 SW 152nd St., Burien WA. 98166. See the map below.
• Route: From Town Square we walk east to 4th Ave. SW, walk around Merrill Gardens and then west along the new Metro H-Line route at SW 150th. On 8th Avenue SW we stand for the new DESC “Bloomside” supportive housing facility, where we can marvel at the new mural. (801 SW 150th St.) From here we cross at the new lighted intersection and walk west to Lake Burien School Memorial Park. Then we head south and back to Town Square Park. The total distance is approximately 4 km, mostly with sidewalks.
• WHO: You! The monthly Walk-n-Talks are open to everyone, including friendly four-legged friends. Hikers are encouraged to walk at their own pace, fast or slow, and can walk all or part of the route.
• We are in our 13th year of monthly Walk-n-Talks!
