Yoko and Skinny Limbs debut their collaboration ‘critical h!t’

Yoko and Skinny Limbs released their first project as ‘critical h!t’ this week, and it’s clear why the duo needed an official side project.

Denver producers Yoko And Skinny limbs have proven that like-minded friends make excellent artistic duos, and they are here to get introduced to the bass music world critical h!t. The pair are no strangers to collaborating in the past, releasing their first EP together last spring. The sonic music proved that this project would be just the beginning of many more to come from the duo.

Fast forward to 2024, and Yoko and Skinny Limbs have just introduced their joint efforts into a whole side project called critical h!t. The Yes EP has officially landed via the couple’s home imprint in Denver Hemi.Wav today and features four new experimental bass tracks that are just begging to be played on a sound system. Electric Hawk premiered the project’s opener and title track earlier this week, and it’s the perfect wobbly bass beat to kickstart the EP in style.

Experimental soundscapes and deep distortions reign supreme in the world of critical h!t, and the two show off their respective ears for this style in every beat they’ve created. Yes. Alien-esque samples add an otherworldly and light-hearted vibe to the project, like the silly vocal additions on “Unreal” And “The key.” Things get a little creepier, but without lacking the experimental weirdness that bass music fans crave on the closing track: “Damn that.” whose bassline lurks along with seductive nodding wobbles.

Yes is available everywhere now, so be sure to head over to Spotify or your favorite platform to stream this amazing new collaborative project for yourself.
