Once back at the top, Jeffery P never retreated from the field, but the 9-year-old Full Count-Betty Jean gelding made it clear he was in charge, scoring in 1:53.2 ahead of Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. Amour was second, beaten 1-1/4 lengths, while Double Account was a ground-saving third.

Ron Burke trains Jeffery P, who now has $515,532 in career earnings, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and Phillip Collura.

Aaron Merriman, trainer Brandon Presto and Wrenn each enjoyed a triple.
