Brandt, Miles Spark WLAX to ILT semifinal win over Princeton, 18-14

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The University of Pennsylvania women’s lacrosse team will play for the Ivy League Tournament title on Sunday when the third-seeded Quakers defeated second-seeded Princeton in Friday night’s first semifinal at Yale’s Reese Stadium, 18-14.

Junior midfielder Anna Brandt scored eight goals in Friday’s victory, setting a tournament record and falling just once below the program record for goals in a game, while junior Erika Chung dished out six assists that matched the tournament standard. Senior Niki Miles scored three goals, dished out an assist and tied a program record 14 controls as the Quakers used a 9-2 run to bridge the third and fourth quarters in what had been a thriller in the Red and Blue’s favor. Catherine Berkery had a hat trick and Keeley Block scored twice.

A full recap will appear later tonight.
