D’Ambrosio sends Manville past South Hunterdon

Manville recorded its sixth straight win by beating South Hunterdon 5-3 in Manville.

Josh D’Ambrosio played a big role in Manville’s victory. At the plate, D’Ambrosio collected two hits, an RBI and three runs scored. On the mound, the sophomore picked up the save by throwing 2 1/3 scoreless innings of relief, allowing two hits and a walk with six strikeouts.

Brandon Shimp got the win for Manville (9-5), allowing three runs over 4 2/3 innings on four hits, three walks and a hit batter with six strikeouts.

James Mascola also had an RBI in the win for the Mustangs.

Nate Lawton reached base twice for South Hunterdon (9-5) and had two RBI in the game. Dillon Gallagher lasted four innings on the mound for the Eagles, allowing five runs (one earned) on two hits and two walks with eight strikeouts.
