Fond du Lac man thrown from car in Taycheedah crash

A 77-year-old Fond du Lac man is in critical condition Friday evening after being ejected from a vehicle during a crash in the town of Taycheedah, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office said.

The man was eastbound on County Q near Stenz Road shortly before 4:30 p.m. Friday when a westbound vehicle driven by a 34-year-old woman from Fond du Lac turned left into a driveway of a home in front of the oncoming woman. vehicle, the Sheriff’s Office reconstruction team determined.

UW Med Flight was called to the scene due to the serious nature of the man’s injuries.

The woman was not injured.

Authorities say neither speed nor alcohol played a role in the crash.

The identities of the drivers were not immediately released.

Fond du Lac County deputies responded to the scene along with the Wisconsin State Patrol, Calumet Fire Department and First Responders, Mount Calvary Ambulance and the City of Fond du Lac Ambulance.
