Meanwhile, Butcher is determined to do one thing right with his numbered days and begs the Boys team to help him.

“I have found the answer to all our prayers: a virus that kills supers,” he announces, referencing a storyline that first began in the spinoff Gen V last year. (If you don’t blink, you’ll even see some Gen V characters hanging out in Vought.)

At the same time, Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s unknown character tries to recruit Butcher in the war against the supes: “The whole world is about to burn. We need someone like you, Billy, before the supes start rounding us up and dumping us in camps,” he says.

Elsewhere in the trailer, things get really weird when the boys are attacked by… a chicken… and flying sheep? “I can’t believe this is happening to me again,” Frenchie declares after shooting the chicken. (Kimiko’s reaction is priceless.)

And the series does not shy away from parody and seems to pave the way for Marvel’s own version Rogers: The Musicalwith Homelander on ice!
