Jason Kelce thinks the Saints’ latest OT is a ‘f****** animal’

Former Philadelphia Eagle Jason Kelce is undeniably one of the best centers in NFL history. On his most recent New Heights podcast with his brother Travis, the offensive lineman heaped high praise on New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Taliese Fuaga.

“There are like some guys that even if they play the highlight reel on draft day, you can say, ‘Oh yeah,’” Jason Kelce said. “There was a tackle picked early from Oregon State and I saw one pass and I was like, ‘Yeah, oh yeah.’ And then I saw him completely demoralize people afterward, and I thought, ‘Damn, this guy is a fucking animal.’ Taliese Fuaga, holy s***.”

Kelce was a first-team All-Pro at center six of the past seven seasons and also made seven Pro Bowls in his 13-year career. If anyone knows what a good offensive lineman looks like, it’s Kelce.

“I don’t even know who drafted him, I just remember when (he was drafted) and then they started showing his eyes and I was like, ‘F*** yeah.’ I saw his face and thought, ‘I met that guy in Philadelphia, he was cool as fuck too.’

The Saints drafted Fuaga 14th overall and plan to start him at one of the tackle spots on the o-line. Both positions are in question due to concerns about Ryan Ramczyk’s career-threatening injury and Trevor Penning’s inconsistency in the 2022 first-round pick.

Kelce only mentioned one player that stood out to him when looking at the draft and that was Fuaga. That doesn’t declare the Oregon State product a star, but high praise from one of the game’s best can’t hurt.
