Failure to fulfill the obligation

On approximately Friday at 9:30 PM, officers were called to a disturbance in the 600 block of 8th St. Upon arrival, officers checked the residence to ensure the safety of those inside and located a 33-year-old man hiding in a closet . . The man turned out to be on a bond with the condition not to communicate with the resident, who was also present. The suspect was also drunk and is on condition that he does not drink alcohol. The man was arrested and has since been released on May 30, charged with two counts of failure to comply with an undertaking.

Break in and commit mischief

On approximately Friday at 5 p.m., officers observed a man they knew in the 1000 block of Rosser. The officer had identified the man as the suspect responsible for an April 25 burglary and entry into an apartment building in the 200 block of 8th St. The 36-year-old man was arrested for burglary, as well as mischief over $5,000 for the damage he caused to the building during the incident. The suspect has now been released on a bond with a court date of July 8.

Arrest warrant executed – manslaughter

At approximately 11:15 a.m. Friday, officers attended an address in Brandon, based on a tip provided that the suspect on an outstanding RCMP warrant may be located there. Officers attended and found the 29-year-old woman on a manslaughter warrant. The order stemmed from an incident that occurred in early March 2024 in Sioux Valley Dakota Nation. The suspect was turned over to members of the RCMP D Division Major Crime Unit.
