Selah athletics girls, seniors

The senior has twice finished in the top five in the pole vault and is looking to improve on her finish in Tacoma for the third straight season. The Valley leader by two inches, Holmes’ jump of 11 feet, one inch at the March 23 Ramos Relays is good for second place this year in 2A. She has won six meets this spring, including all three CWAC meets. She jumped 10-6 and won in Othello on Tuesday.

Rillee Huber

Kittitas softball, junior

The junior centerfielder hit five home runs in four games for a Coyotes team that has won fourteen in a row. A two-time first-team All-EWAC West choice, she homered Monday against Sunnyside Christian, both ends of a doubleheader with a pair in the nightcap against Tri-Cities Prep on Wednesday and Cashmere on Thursday. At Tri-Cities, Huber combined for 12 RBI and seven runs.
