Jersey Shore’s Pauly D shares important rules he’s set for his daughter

Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio revealed how he is parenting at home in a rare update about his daughter.

The reality TV star, 43, was part of the original cast of Jersey Shore and has appeared on several MTV shows since 2009.

Pauly currently appears on Family Vacation, where a major fight recently took place in a season 7 episode.

He was not involved in the heated altercation, which involved castmates Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Angelina Pivarnick and her fiancé, Vinny Tortorella.

Meanwhile, he continues to raise Amabella Sophia DelVecchio and keeps her away from reality TV drama.

That includes setting up several important rules for Amabella that he thinks are useful.

Pauly D said he placed several restrictions on Amabella

Social media was not as prominent during the original edition of Jersey Shore as it has been in recent years. That’s why Pauly said he limited his daughter’s use of one platform.

“She can’t have TikTok. She’s too young,” he told People about Amabella’s use of social media.

“She does YouTube for the kids, and I don’t know, I still feel like that’s basically TikTok. They do all the dances,” he told the publication.

Something that goes hand in hand with intensive use of social media is the use of technological gadgets such as smartphones. Pauly said his daughter has one of the best ones out there, and he loves that he can keep in touch with her when he’s not home.

“She got the iPhone 15 for Christmas, so that was a big deal. And it’s good for me because I can talk to her all the time, especially when I’m traveling,” he shared.

However, Pauly also revealed that he has restricted Amabella’s iPhone use based on whether she meets certain conditions.

‘She has rules with the phone. It’s taken away from her if her grades aren’t good and things like that,” he told People.

It looks like Pauly may also have a restriction on Amabella’s involvement in reality TV, at least for now. She has yet to appear on any of his Jersey Shore-related shows, although his castmates’ children have.

Pauly D revealed in 2013 that he had a daughter

In 2013, TMZ reported that Pauly D had a daughter after confirming he was the father through a paternity test. Based on the report, Pauly fathered the unnamed child with an unidentified 25-year-old woman he met as a DJ in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“I am proud to be a father. I’m excited to start this new part of my life,” he told TMZ at the time.

Details have since emerged showing that Amabella is his daughter’s name and the mother is Amanda Markert.

While Pauly is in a relationship with Nikki Hall, who he met on MTV’s Double Shot at Love, he has remained friendly with Amabella’s mother over the years. They continue to co-parent their daughter, who turns 11 in June.

Pauly told People that he’s trying to plan a special birthday event, admitting that “it’s hard to find a theme” but shared that he might have the best location for it because “she loves the Sugar Factory .”
