Bishat (@iambishat) is an emerging Swedish/Ethiopian singer, platinum award-winning songwriter and producer who grew up in Gothenburg, Sweden. Not long ago, she released a groovy dance-pop single, “Supersonic P*$$y,” via the artist label, MINAMIN.

“When I gave birth to my daughter, Jhené Aiko’s ‘P*$$y Fairy’ was playing in the background, which was so damn fitting,” Bishat explained. “So when I got back to the studio, I was inspired by that song and how incredible my body had been. I felt so strong, sexy and unstoppable. I felt like no one can ever say anything to me again. I am a force of nature!”

“Supersonic P*$$y” showcases Bishat’s incredible talent as a performer. The catchy melodies and infectious beat will have listeners hooked from the start. Drawing on her Ethiopian roots, London music studies and a passion for combining Scandinavian pop with R&B, Bishat created a distinctive sound.

In 2022 she was nominated for Rookie Artist of the Year in the prestigious Denniz Pop Awards. Her debut EP “WHO HURT YOU?” was released in early 2023. The project was picked up by BBC Introducing and added to Spotify’s global playlist New music Friday. Swedish music media applauded the EP, which has now been nominated for a Grammy in the category R&B/Soul of the Year category.
