Watch Virat Kohli’s reaction after Wriddhiman Saha tells teammate to drag the match

Virat Kohli had a hilarious reaction to Wriddhiman Saha’s advice to his teammates during the match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Saturday (May 5),

The Bengaluru-based team defeated the Titans by four wickets to register their third win in a row and the fourth of the ongoing IPL 2024. RCB bowled first and defeated GT for a modest total of 147 runs. GT’s top three batters – Wriddhiman Saha, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan – could not even reach double figures and departed within the powerplay to leave their team 3 for 19.

Crucial knocks from Shahrukh Khan (37), David Miller (30) and Rahul Tewatia (35) helped GT reach a respectable total of 147. In reply, RCB chased down the total inside 14 overs thanks to a scintillating half-century from their captain Faf du Plessis.

Du Plessis and Virat Kohli gave RCB a flying start. The RCB skipper raced away to an 18-ball fifty and shared a 92-run stand in just 35 balls with Virat Kohli before departing for 64. After the departure of du Plessis, RCB were in trouble after an inexplicable collapse that saw them reduced from 92 for 0 to 117 for 6.

However, Dinesh Karthik and Swapnil Singh shared an unbeaten stand of 35 runs and eventually brought their team home comfortably.

Virat Kohli’s hilarious response:

Talking about the incident between Virat Kohli and Wriddhiman Saha, it took place in the seventh over of the RCB innings. The former India skipper does not shy away from taking other players to task on the field and he was there again on Saturday.

It all started when Wriddhiman Saha told his teammates to stop the flow of runs and drag the match after RCB’s fast start with the bat. The stump microphone caught the former Indian wicketkeeper saying to his teammates: “Runs roko, match kheecho (stop the runs, drag the match).”

Virat Kohli heard his former India teammate’s comments and came up with a hilarious response: “Behe*c**d, aise kaise kheech lodge? (How come you drag it?)”
