Stop sticks used on cars with stolen license plates

Two men who evaded police in a car with stolen number plates from Grovedale to Ballarat have been arrested.

A silver Corolla was seen driving erratically on the Surf Coast Highway just before 2pm on Monday before speeding off.

The police helicopter helped officers on the ground track the vehicle to Elaine, where stop sticks were deployed.

Police say the Corolla was then driven into Ballarat, where the occupants ran away.

A 23-year-old Leopold man and a 25-year-old Brown Hill man were arrested shortly afterwards.

They helped the police with their investigation.
