Chelsea v Spurs team news: Maddison on bench, Richarlison starts

Gameweek 35 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) ends with the team news for Thursday night’s clash between Chelsea and Spurs.

The head decision sees James Maddison (£7.8m) on the bench for the visitors, with Richarlison (£6.8 million) and Brennan Johnson (£5.8 million) to replace both him and the injured Timo Werner (£6.3 million).

Hoping to avoid a third successive defeat in their quest for Champions League football, Ange Postecoglou has made five changes to the line-up for Sunday’s North London derby.

Ben Davies (£4.3m) is out for this season, so Emerson Royal (£4.3m) comes in as a left back. Central midfielders Yves Bissouma (£5.0 million) and Pape Matar Sarr (£4.4m) push Rodrigo Bentancur (£5.4 million) and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (£5.1 million) on the bench next to Maddison.

As for tonight’s hosts, injured Chelsea made just one change in the 2-2 draw against Aston Villa.

Alfie Gilchrist (£4.0 million). Thiago Silva (£5.0 million) in defense as individuals like Malo Gusto (£4.3 million), Raheem Sterling (£6.8 million) and Ben Chillwell (£5.4 million) remain absent.

Meanwhile, though Ree James (£5.3 million) and Christopher Nkunku (£7.2m) are back in training, they are not in the squad. Instead, Mauricio Pochettino has to name an extremely inexperienced crop of substitutes.

Highly owned players Cole Palmer (£6.2 million), Son Heung-min (£9.9 million), Nicholas Jackson (£6.9 million), Pedro Porro (£5.8m) and Djordje Petrovic (£4.6m) all start.
