Lil Nas X and Troye Sivan share a Met Gala moment

Nobody panics! Lil Nas

The LGBTQ+ musicians have joined a slew of queer stars performing on fashion’s biggest night of the evening, including Andrew Scott’s arm-day-worthy look and Sam Smith’s Met Gala debut.

And the ‘J Christ’ hitmaker shared a glimpse into his evening at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City by uploading a TikTok clip of himself and the ‘Angel Baby’ singer on the red carpet. The pair posed as the rapper sang along to “Rain” by Skaiwater.

The Australian star looked dapper in a blue peek-a-boo shirt and tuxedo vest combo from Prada. Meanwhile, Lil Nas It was decorated with matching sparkling acrylic nails.

Thanks to their social media moment, fans are literally begging for the pair to work on a music collaboration. “When is the collab coming out???” one commenter asked under the video, while another repeated: “ok so collab rn”.

A third commented: “I was just hoping for a collaboration!” Another fan wrote: “Collab pleaseeeee 😭😭😭”.

Although the pair have yet to confirm that they are working on a project together, both have been long-time supporters of each other’s work.

In a 2023 interview with the Evening Standard, Sivan said that Lil Nas

He told the outlet: “I think it’s super important that art reflects how we feel and that you see people who look like you. I take that very seriously.

“That’s why I’m so inspired by someone like Lil Nas X and how unapologetic he is. I hope he realizes how incredibly influential he has been.”

Troye continued, adding, “It honestly feels like we’ve arrived. Maybe not politically or socially, but in pop music it feels like we’ve reached the end goal, which is that I honestly don’t even know who’s queer and who’s not anymore – and that’s exactly how it should be. ”
