Cardi B literally took over the 2024 Met Gala carpet with her dress

The dress also featured a fluttering neckline that defied gravity and formed a V that framed the stunning diamond and emerald necklace and earrings that Cardi wore. Cardi – full name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar – made her debut at the 2018 Met Gala, paying tribute to the ‘Heavenly Bodies’ theme in a glamorous royal Moschino gown – accompanied by the designer Jeremy Scott– while cradling her growing baby bump.

The following year she outdid herself with a striking look in burgundy Thom Browne dress accented with feathers, an enchanted headpiece and a padded train.

In 2022, Cardi showed off her curves in a gold chain-link dress from Atelier Versace, while last year’s look paid tribute to Karl Lagerfeldwhile her tuxedo top flowed into a skirt with huge black flowers – a look she completed with a sleek gray wig.

The 2024 edition of the annual event took place on Monday, May 6, with hosts Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad bunnyAnd Chris Hemsworth.
