The FA, EFL and the police have jointly introduced measures and sanctions to tackle the increased anti-social and criminal behavior seen at football matches in recent times, including the actions of supporters entering the playing field.

It is a criminal offense to enter the field at any time, and anyone who does so endangers the safety of those around them. For individuals it is just as serious as a football ban and police action.

These actions may also have consequences for the club, resulting in possible investigations and sanctions.
