A Delhi court on Tuesday extended the demand judicial custody of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal And Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Kavitha in connection with the money laundering allegations being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the now-dropped Delhi excise policy case.

While Kejriwal’s judicial custody has been extended till May 20, K Kavitha’s judicial custody has been extended till May 14.

And in the case being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the court has also extended the judicial custody Manish Sisodia, leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). and K Kavitha, a Telangana MLC and daughter of former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Sisodia’s custody has been extended till May 15 and K Kavitha’s judicial custody has been extended till May 20.

The Special Judge for CBI and ED cases, Kaveri Baweja, extended their custody after they appeared before the court after expiry of their remand.

Kejriwal and Sisodia were produced at the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi virtually today with K Kavitha physically present.

Notably, Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21 after the Delhi High Court refused to grant him protection from coercive action by the central agency.

Meanwhile, Kavitha was also arrested by the central agencies on March 15 in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case.

Manish Sisodia has been behind bars since he was arrested by the CBI in February last year, followed by arrest in the ED case.
