Cardi B hosts Met Gala 2024 afterparty in Silencio: see inside

Cardi B arrived at her Met Gala after-party with Revolve and Fwrd just after 2 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Earlier in the day, a marketing agency had sent an email call for ‘paps’ to come and film the rapper’s street arrival outside the Silencio party venue. Although all signs pointed to a potentially chaotic situation at the door, there was no crowd in sight as the party continued into the early hours.

Down the red-lit stairs, strobe lights flashed and phones were held high toward the stage in the intimate space. Cardi B, wearing a red Revolve Atelier dress, stood behind the DJ table with sister Hennessy Carolina and husband Offset as the crowd watched, waiting for something to happen. There was a performance planned, but around 1:30 p.m. the room started to empty and Cardi had yet to hop on the mic.

Guests including Coco Rocha, Chris Appleton and Christian Siriano dropped by earlier in the evening to celebrate the close of their latest Met Gala.

“Everyone should be sipping something here,” one of the DJs shouted to the room as trays of caviar and other snacks continued to circulate. “Monday night is the party: let’s go to New York.”
