J. Crew reconnects with BEAMS PLUS for new collection

Following their 2022 collaboration, J. Crew and BEAMS PLUS have reunited for a fresh take on their co-branded design universe.

This time, the Harajuku-based Japanese streetwear label tapped into J. Crew’s classic preppy style codes to create a lineup that “captures the charm and nostalgia of ’50s and ’60s surf culture, inspired by endless summers and the wave riders who created the relaxed style.” The result is a collection with all kinds of nods to sandy days on the coast.

Highlights include s’Old Boy Surf Club’ T-shirts, with playful, wavy graphics, and vintage-inspired blazers, which incorporate intricately patterned textiles from decades past. Elsewhere, zip-up jackets have multicolored stripes down the center; Khaki pants and board shorts play on the surf theme with all-over embroidery, and colorful striped tops make the ideal colorful statement.

The line rounds out the range with bright, kaleidoscopic belts and location-based corduroy caps featuring beach spots like Rhode Island’s Point Judith, Montauk’s Turtles and New Jersey’s. Manasquan.

The latest J. Crew x BEAMS PLUS collection will be available on May 10 in the J.Crew online store. Take a closer look at the line in the gallery above.
