Brittney Sykes is embracing a new role as the Mystics’ starting point guard

The conversation started in late September, after the Washington Mystics were swept out of the first round of the WNBA playoffs by the New York Liberty. Each team conducts individual exit interviews with its players, and coach Eric Thibault had some thoughts for Brittney Sykes. She had just completed the most productive season of her career in her first year at Washington, and Thibault wanted more.
