Robert W. “Bob” White

Robert W. “Bob” White, 88, of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024, at his home. He was born on September 17, 1935 in Terre Haute, Indiana, the son of the late Charles Robert White and Mable Sampson White. Bob was a police officer with the Louisville Police Department for 29 years, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a member of the TPA.

Survivors include his wife, Roberta Baker White; three sons, John White (Jenny) of Texas, Steve White (Amy) of Washington and Mark White (Lorie) of Illinois; daughter, Donna Bickwermert (Robert Bray); grandchildren, Christine, Zoe, Ava, Bryan, Sarah, Emily, Daniel, Cheyenne Prater (Elzie), Rheanna Bray, KayesLeigh Bray; great-grandchildren, Bentley, Kayelee, Tammy, and Clay Prater and Christopher Bray; and a half-sister, Loraine Edwards.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024 at 12:00 noon at the James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday and from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
