NFL 2024 Season Preview: Kansas City Chiefs vs Baltimore Ravens Begins – Everything You Need to Know

The NFL continues its push to grow the sport internationally this season.

The show’s creators have also worked their magic to create tasty contests for primetime TV, starting with the season opener.

The opening weekend continues with the first regular season game in Brazil, with the Eagles taking on the Packers in Sao Paulo on Friday (01:15 BST Saturday), while the Jets visit the 49ers, a team Rodgers was a fan of as a child and who overlooked him when they had the first pick in the 2005 draft, in game one on Monday night (01:15 BST Tuesday).

There will be a Super Bowl rematch in October, a Thanksgiving tripleheader, another Black Friday game, and two games on Christmas Day.

The Brazilian edition is one of five international games this season. In November, the NFL returns to Munich and in October, three games will be held in London again.

A match will be played in Spain in 2025. Australia and Ireland are also being considered as countries for future international matches.

Like last year, the Jacksonville Jaguars play at Wembley and Tottenham, so former Welsh rugby star Louis Rees-Zammit could return to the UK midway through the season.

Rees-Zammit spent the summer with the Chiefs before joining the Jags’ practice squad. He can be promoted to the active roster up to three times per season.

The same goes for the other four athletes who also completed the international player path this year and now play for NFL teams: Travis Clayton (Buffalo Bills), Bayron Matos (Miami Dolphins), Praise Olatoke (Carolina Panthers) and Charlie Smyth (New Orleans Saints).
