Scottish comedian, Donald Trump antagonist was 63
Scottish comedian Janey Godley has died at the age of 63, her family has announced.
Godley was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2021 and in September this year she said she had ‘run out of chemo options’.
Godley, a long-standing comedian and writer in her native Scotland, rose to prominence during the pandemic when she dubbed comedy videos dubbing Scottish political leader Nicola Sturgeon’s coronavirus news briefings.
She had previously made headlines around the world in 2016 when she held up a sign reading ‘Trump is a**t’ outside Donald Trump’s Turnberry Golf Resort ahead of his election as President of the United States.
Despite her health, Godley managed to go viral again on social media last month when she shared a photo of herself wearing a T-shirt that read: “Trump is still running.”
She captioned the post: “The gift that keeps on giving!”
