Police investigate hotel worker in connection with drugs found in Liam Payne’s room: report
(TNND) — New details have emerged about Liam Payne’s death, according to a new report.
Citing sources, ABC News reported that surveillance footage showed multiple drug exchanges between a drug dealer and a hotel employee before Payne’s untimely death, ABC said.
Sources also said police are investigating the hotel employee to determine whether they gave Payne the drugs found in his hotel room.
Payne had multiple substances in his system when he fell from the third floor balcony of his hotel room in Argentina last week. “Pink cocaine,” benzodiazepine and crack were found in a partial autopsy after the 31-year-old singer’s death. An aluminum pipe for taking drugs was also found in the hotel room, according to ABC.
Before his death, Payne was seen on CCTV sleeping in the lobby of his hotel with a bottle of whiskey in his hands.
Payne’s father, Geoff Payne, has been in Buenos Aires since October 18, awaiting his son’s return to England for his funeral. His body is expected to be handed over to his family next week.
