AP Poll Top 25 College Football Rankings Released After Week 10

The latest AP Poll Top 25 rankings are in after Week 10 of college football and there were some upsets after another wild weekend!

Oregon went undefeated, Ohio State beat Penn State, the SEC is wild as Georgia scrapes by and Texas A&M loses its first conference game and well, there’s just madness. It’s a week-to-week sport!

Let’s take a look at the latest AP Poll Top 25 rankings after Week 10.

Oregon, as usual, is busy beating Michigan 38-17 in Ann Arbor, continuing its undefeated season. The Ducks led 28-10 at halftime and went from there.

Oregon is considered one of, if not the best team in college football, but things still feel quiet around Eugene. Maybe that’s the way Dan Lanning likes it. Oregon will likely top the CFP rankings on Tuesday evening.

Carson Beck threw two touchdowns, but also three interceptions and Georgia was certainly in danger of losing this one. Ultimately, the Bulldogs emerged victorious over rival Florida and maintained a record with just one SEC loss.

It was another ugly win, but if Georgia can pull it off, it will likely be in the form of a national championship. The concern right now is getting Beck right and hoping Trevor Etienne can return to health after a rib injury.

Ohio State won a top five matchup! It was much needed for the Buckeyes, Ryan Day and the fans. Plus, it’s always fun to beat Penn State, right?

It’s funny that Ohio State isn’t even No. 2 in the Big Ten behind Oregon, because Indiana is undefeated in the conference. But this win could certainly strengthen the program for the rest of the season.

Miami has certainly been fun to watch this season, thanks in large part to Cam Ward. The QB Heisman contender threw for another five touchdowns and 400 yards in a shootout win over Duke.

Of course, the ‘Canes eventually pulled away and won 53-31. At one point they were down double digits, so perhaps a cause for concern? But they just keep winning.

Texas had a week off to regroup after a win over Vanderbilt. Since returning from injury, QB Quinn Ewers has been a bit absent.

As On3’s Jesse Simonton noted, perhaps the biggest focus this past week has been reviving the vertical passing game. Texas is still in position to win the SEC and get a first-round bye.

Another what-if for James Franklin and Penn State, which hasn’t beaten Ohio State since 2016: Last year the Nittany Lions won the Big Ten.

Every time they have played since, Ohio State has been ranked at least No. 6 in the country and Penn State has always been ranked, including five times in the top 10. So, what now? PSU is still fighting for a playoff spot.

Tennessee is a lot like Georgia, where they win ugly. Dylan Sampson was a boon at running back as he carried the Vols in the second half in a win over Kentucky.

As it stands now, Tennessee can reach the SEC Championship Game by winning its remaining conference games against Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Georgia. There is a path!

Watch out for the Hoosiers guy! If you see Indiana coming, you might as well get out of the way because they’ll blow your doors off.

Curt Cignetti is the easy frontrunner for Coach of the Year and Indiana is thinking not only of the Big Ten Championship Game, but also of the first round of the College Football Playoffs. Google him. He just wins.

BYU also had a bye week last weekend, but is still undefeated. The Holy War against Utah is coming and the Cougars are favored by 4.5 points.

What about BYU? They still have an inside track to the Big 12 title game and could very well run the table to a first-round playoff appearance.

Notre Dame is hot right now, so the question is whether they can keep this up for the rest of time. The Fighting Irish will likely need to be 11-1 by the end of the year to make the College Football Playoff.

The good news is that they have scored at least 31 points in four straight games, so the offense continues. It appears that Riley Leonard has taken things a step further in the passing game. The defense was also dominant.
