Does the Panthers WR play against Saints today?
Bryce Young will not have his top target from last year this afternoon.
On Saturday, the Carolina Panthers officially downgraded Adam Thielen to out for their Week 9 game against the New Orleans Saints. The 34-year-old receiver, who is still recovering from a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 3, did not participate in practice on Friday and was later listed as questionable.
Head coach Dave Canales hinted at Thielen’s status after that final practice.
“The guys have really put together solid weeks,” Canales told reporters. “We collect all that information. And we’re probably going to spend this weekend without those guys – we’re talking about Brooks, we’re talking about (DJ) Wonnum, we’re talking about (Adam) Thielen.
“So guys definitely moving in the direction of where we know where they can help us. But I want to be completely sure for the boys and for the team.”
Brooks and Wonnum were also demoted to out on Saturday.
