Back-to-back losses leave the Vikings in need of a win at US Bank Stadium before embarking on a three-game road trip. They will face the Colts in a game moved from noon to prime time as part of the NFL’s flexible scheduling policy, and they will try to get to 6-2 against an Indianapolis team that features veteran quarterback Joe Flacco will start, not 2023 first-round pick Anthony Richardson.
The Vikings’ offense, meanwhile, has all the weapons it needs with the return of tight end TJ Hockenson after knee surgery in January. He joins Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, Jalen Nailor and Aaron Jones in an offense looking for a boost after red zone shortcomings and third-down failures in the last two games. But the Vikings will be without Christian Darrisaw, who suffered his own season-ending knee injury against the Rams on Oct. 24.
