American Idol’s Carrie Underwood shows off toned arms in a $6k velvet mini dress
Carrie Underwood doesn’t slow down! The country superstar just wrapped up her last Las Vegas dates of 2024, but has now revealed to fans how they can watch one of her recent live performances from the comfort of their own home.
In a new Instagram post, Carrie – who is too – explains prepare for the launch of American Idol – revealed that her September performance at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry will air on the Opry’s YouTube channel and local Circle Country networks on November 2, 2024.
The post featured a photo of Carrie from the evening, and she was wearing a beautiful strapless Balmain mini dress that showed off her muscular arms.
“Tune in tonight at 9/8c to watch Carrie’s #OpryLive performance starting in September on Carrie’s Facebook or @Opry’s YouTube channel or on your local @circlecountrytv network.-TeamCU,” the post said.
The vElven dress, which retails for over $6,000also showed off her endless legs and she paired the look with sky-high platform heels.
Carrie, mother of two, has been maintaining her fitness through her own app Fit52, which she launched in 2020.
The app offers exclusive workout routines and healthy recipes, designed to help users lead a balanced and active lifestyle.
Although the latest season of the famed singing competition won’t premiere on ABC until early 2025, filming is already underway and auditions have already taken place in New York City.
Luke Bryan, who is also currently promoting his first album in four years, Ghost of a country boy, stopped by Good morning America to provide an update on the new season, and how Carrie fits in with Luke and Lionel Richie, and host Ryan Seacrest.
“We’re starting auditions in New York City, we’re obviously excited to have Carrie Underwood with us,” he shared before teasing, “And she’s going to have to develop a tolerance for Lionel and me and Ryan (Seacrest).”
Carrie replaces Katy Perry, who stepped back American Idol after a number of years, but the singer has come full circle, because this is where she got her big break and won the show in 2005.
“There are so many people still working on the show who were there when I was a contestant, and I feel like I’m on both sides of the coin. Hopefully I can provide some insight and help,” she said when she was announced.
When asked what kind of judge she could be, she said: “I can’t lie, I just can’t, you’ll see. I feel like I’ll be very honest but hopefully inspiring.”
