Amanda Serrano took on Katie Taylor for the women’s light-welterweight unified titles on Friday night during the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight card at AT&T Stadium.
The two women stole the show, but also had one of the most controversial results of the evening.
Serrano found her feet early, but a nasty cut caused by a headbutt from Taylor changed the course of the fight. Ultimately, Taylor retained her titles, but many on social media called the decision a “robbery.”

After the fight, Serra took to social media to share a selfie showing the gnarly cut she suffered, along with a post about the fight and her opponent.
“I’m always going to give my fans everything I’ve got. I’m a ferocious warrior and Katie is my buddy, but damn her best feature is her head. No punching power, just a tough head,” Serrano further wrote X with a laugh.

Taylor vs. Serrano was billed as the first half of the evening’s double-main event, and it topped the final fight of the evening.
In the main event, Jake Paul defeated legendary boxer Mike Tyson in a glorified sparring session with very little action. Despite the disappointing main event, there is respect for both men, especially Tyson, who managed to last eight rounds at the age of 58.
