After a missed opportunity to score points on their first drive, the Mustangs made no mistake on their second drive. SMU went 57 yards on 6 plays leading to a touchdown. Moochie Dixon closed the block on a screen play that allowed Roderick Daniels Jr. made his way into the end zone for the score. SMU up, 7-0, with 7:29 left in the first quarter.
