Nickal is one of the most promising players to ever enter the MMA world. Nickal, a three-time NCAA wrestling champion, is 6-0 to start his professional fighting career, including three straight wins in the octagon. No fighter has been able to go the distance against Nickal, with only Cody Brundage making it past the first round when he fought Nickal at UFC 300 last April. Nickal finished Brundage in the second round via rear choke.
The undefeated middleweight faces his most experienced opponent to date in 26-fight veteran Craig. It’s been a tough stretch for Craig, who is coming off a losing streak and is 1-4 in his last five outings. Craig was knocked out in round 2 by Caio Borralho in his most recent outing. Scattered throughout the Scot’s record are a number of notable victories at 185 and 205 pounds, including finishes of Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, Magomed Ankalaev, Jamahal Hill and Andre Muniz.
