Kadarius Toney will make his debut with AFC Bottomfeeder in week 11
The Kansas City Chiefs are 9-0 entering Week 11. They are the only undefeated team in the league and have a big game coming up against the Buffalo Bills.
While that is the focus for Kansas City, Kadarius Toney will make his 2024 debut with the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
Field Yates reported that the Browns have elevated receiver Kadarius Toney from the practice squad to the active roster for the game against the New Orleans Saints. This will be Toney’s first game of the 2024 season.
After two drama-filled seasons with the Chiefs, Kansas City released the Florida product in August. In 20 games with the Chiefs, Toney had 41 catches for 340 receiving yards and three touchdowns. One problem that has followed the 25-year-old throughout his NFL career has been constant injuries. He missed time with the Chiefs due to knee and hamstring injuries.
Toney signed with Cleveland’s practice squad in September and has remained there throughout the season. With Amari Cooper no longer in Cleveland, there is an open spot in the WR rotation.
Jerry Jeudy leads the Browns in receiving yards (418), while no other receiver has more than 300 yards on the season. This could be Toney’s last chance to make an impact on a team and stay in the league.
He no longer has Patrick Mahomes throwing him the ball and Andy Reid making plays that put him in positions to succeed, so the Browns will have his work cut out for him.
