Cleveland Browns at New Orleans Saints Prediction for NFL Week 11
NEW ORLEANS — The expression they say in New Orleans is: “Laissez les bons temps roiller.” Translated from Louisiana French Creole, it essentially means “Let the good times roll.”
The Browns haven’t had many good times through the first nine games of the season. Actually just two, their only two wins, a month apart.
Cleveland (2-7) will look to travel to one of the nation’s biggest party cities to get the party started during the final eight games of the season. They will do that against the Saints, who snapped a seven-game losing streak of their own against the Atlanta Falcons last week and improved to 3-7, but 1-0 under interim head coach Darren Rizzi.
So, who keeps the good times rolling?
Here’s how the three writers following the Browns for us, Chris Easterling, Nate Ulrich and Dan Kadar, view the team’s Week 11 road game.
Browns vs. Saints prediction: Who will win Sunday afternoon in NFL Week 11?
EASTERN: This game has all kinds of storylines that would have made it a great, intriguing match if it had been 7-2 vs. 7-3. Instead, it’s the opposite. Still, Jameis Winston’s return to New Orleans could be a spectacular success for Cleveland. Or it could be a spectacular disaster. It’s the kind of gamble fit for one of the riverboat casinos that ply the Mississippi River. Here’s betting it’s coming Cleveland’s way. BROWN 24, SAINTS 17
ULRICH: Jameis Winston has thrown the ball to the other team multiple times in his two Browns starts. Saints defenders must be especially prepared to capitalize, as many of them know Winston well. He spent the past four seasons in New Orleans. For what it’s worth, Derek Carr is 4-1 as a starter against the Browns. SAINTS 23, BROWN 20
KADAR: If the Browns want to win, they have to reduce their turnovers and even create their own. Not an easy task for a team with one interception this season. But if the Browns can’t beat a 3-7 Saints team coming off their bye week, they might not win again this season. BROWN 24, SAINTS 20
