Which players impressed in the Week 11 loss to the Bills?
The latest installment of the rivalry between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills did not disappoint. Buffalo ended Kansas City’s undefeated streak with a 30-21 win. Both teams fought to the end. With just a few weeks left, the winners of the Week 11 matchup have a clearer picture of their postseason future.
The offense started slowly, with Patrick Mahomes throwing an interception on the opening drive. Kareem Hunt was once again solid in the running game, while rookie Xavier Worthy made a significant impact in the first half. The team couldn’t get many targets for Travis Kelce as the Bills defense focused on him all day.
Defensively, the Chiefs tried to contain Josh Allen, but he still scrambled and made plays down the field, including the game-sealing touchdown run on fourth down. James Cook and Ty Johnson were active in passing or running the football. The Chiefs couldn’t slow down a broken receiving core, as Amari Cooper was still a factor despite playing with an injured wrist.
Check out how some Kansas City stars fared in the Chiefs’ loss to the Bills:
Stocked by: Noah Gray
Gray had the first multiple touchdown receiving games of his career and finished the day as the team’s top receiving tight end with four catches for 23 yards and two touchdowns.
Stocked by: Xavier Worthy
The rookie committed another sideline error but had a solid outing, catching four passes for 61 yards and a touchdown to lead the team while running once for seven yards.
Stock up: Patrick Mahomes
Mahomes started the game rocky with an interception on the opening drive, but rebounded with three touchdown passes. He added another interception on the final drive, but overall the Chiefs were in position to win offensively.
Stock on: Chamarri Conner
Conner led the team in tackles with seven, while also getting Josh Allen’s lone interception in the first half.
Stock down: Jawaan Taylor
It was a tough day for Taylor. The veteran had some issues in pass protection and committed a costly holding penalty on the Chiefs’ final drive.
