The teaser of Nayanthara’s upcoming film Rakkayie is finally out. On Monday, the actress took to her Instagram handle and shared the teaser, leaving fans excited. Sharing key details about Nayanthara’s film, the teaser reveals that she will be playing the role of a mother who will do anything to protect her daughter from ‘monsters’.

The teaser shows Nayanthara in her never-seen-before fierce avatar. She is seen fighting goons with a sword. The actress is also seen keeping an intense look on her face.

“In a land where justice is but a memory…There lived a mother whose world was her child…But when her daughter’s life is threatened by a monster…She doesn’t run…she doesn’t waver…Instead, she declares war. .🔥 🔥,” she wrote in the caption.

Also on Sunday, Nayanthara shared a poster of the film in which she stood firmly in the middle of what appeared to be a battlefield, with her back to the camera. She was dressed in a deep red sari and holding a spear, radiating a fierce, defiant aura. “A WAR AGAINST THE BEASTS 🔥,” the message read.

Interestingly, this comes at a time when Nayanthara is making headlines for her fight with Dhanush. She recently wrote an open letter to the Tamil actor and slammed him for refusing to allow an NOC to use elements from their 2015 film ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’. She said that while making her Netflix documentary, she asked Dhanush for permission to use footage from their 2015 film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. However, Dhanush refused to grant her permission and instead sent her a legal notice, demanding Rs 10 crore in damages.

“This is an absolute low point for you and says so much about your character. I wish you were half the person you portray to be on stage during audio launches for your innocent fans, but you clearly don’t practice what you preach, at least not to me and my partner,” commented part of her message.

Dhanush has not responded to Nayanthara’s allegations so far.
