Angelina Jolie wears an off-brand vintage dress with her son Knox Jolie Pitt at the 2024 Governors Awards
Angelina Jolie opted for an unbranded, unlabeled vintage dress for the 2024 Governors Awards red carpet at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles.
The 49-year-old actor walked arm in arm across the carpet with her youngest son, 16-year-old Knox Jolie-Pitt.
Jolie’s ensemble was a shimmering gold halter dress with spaghetti straps and delicate cream lace overlay, purchased from Los Angeles-based luxury vintage boutique The Kit Vintage.
The Maleficent star paired the dress with oversized diamond earrings and a matching necklace, which radiated the ultimate in Golden Age glamour.
Knox Jolie-Pitt opted for a classic black tuxedo and bow tie, reminiscent of his father’s red carpet looks, in a rare public appearance. This was Jolie-Pitt’s second Hollywood appearance following her 2021 red carpet debut for Marvel’s Eternals.
Jolie has made red carpet appearances in the past with her children, including Shiloh, Pax, Vivienne, Zahara and Maddox, whom she shares with ex-husband Brad Pitt.
The awards ceremony honored outstanding achievements and humanitarian work in the film industry, infamous for reserving the guest list for those who appeared in notable releases this year, and the star-studded line-up brought sophisticated Hollywood glamour.
Jennifer Lawrence, 34, who is pregnant with her second child, wore a chocolate brown custom Bottega Veneta dress with body-conscious ruffles to cradle her bump.
Lawrence completed the look with gold teardrop accents, a gold-woven Bottega clutch and wispy bangs.
In addition to Lawrence’s “quiet luxury” look, Best Actress winner Nicole Kidman showed off a black draped Celine dress with a high slit, cold shoulders and a diamond neckline.
The Babygirl star brought an effortless vibe to the look with her signature tousled blonde mane.
Among those who made their film debut at the Cannes Film Festival in May, actor Demi Moore, 62, wore a black strapless high-low Givenchy dress with statement diamond jewelry from Sartoro Genève.
Moore’s co-star for The Substance, Margaret Qualley, 30, contrasted with Moore in a white Chanel bridal gown with column silhouette and diamond trim details. The dress was featured during the French fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2022 Haute Couture show.
Fellow Chanel muse Lily-Rose Depp, 25, delved into the archives with a contrasting off-the-shoulder Chanel spring/summer 2018 dress with blush pink detailing on the décolleté.
Depp’s look exuded a haunting sense of goth with a sleek, slicked back ’90s bun, evoking the essence of her upcoming film ‘Nosferatu’.
Irish actor Barry Keoghan, 32, wore a short black suit from Dolce & Gabbana with a white plunging blouse with a bow. The ‘Saltburn’ star completed the look with a gold feather brooch.
Fellow Irish actor Paul Mescal, 28, wore his favorite red carpet designer in a black Gucci tuxedo with a crossover lace-up shirt – a stylish tribute to his anticipated hit ‘Gladiator 2’.
Jennifer Lopez, 55, wore a dripping diamond halterneck dress with a rich black velvet train from Zuhair Murad’s Fall/Winter 2024 couture collection. The Unstoppable star paired the statement dress with an emerald green Tyler Ellis bag and loose, bouncy waves.
American actor Elle Fanning, 26, wore a beautiful mint green Valentino dress from the Italian label’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection.
Embellished with silver diamonds and matching mint fur trim, the star showed off understated glamor with a bouncy blonde bob and Cartier jewelry.
45-year-old actor Jeremy Strong followed suit, wearing a mint green suit with silk lapel detailing. The Succession star paired the fresh ensemble with a white shirt without a tie.
Irish actor Saoirse Ronan, 30, wore a custom Louis Vuitton dress in baby blue, with extravagant feather details, styled by New York-based stylist Danielle Goldberg.
Robbie Williams, 50, channeled a friendly silver fox in a soft gray double-breasted suit with metal overlaps and a matching sparkly shirt and tie.
The British singer was in attendance in anticipation of his upcoming musical drama Better Man.
Jude Law, 51, who also opted for all-black and white, wore an all-white suit with shawl lapels, a white vest and a loosely tied tie.
In striking contrast, 64-year-old Tilda Swinton wore a bright red long-sleeved dress from Standing Ground’s spring/summer 2025 collection. The Room Next Door star paired the ruched, high-neck dress with a bold red lip and her platinum quiff.
The 15th Governors Awards featured major industry players and brought together a celebration of film and undeniable sartorial glamour.
