Cris Collinsworth was alarmingly bad in Sunday night football
Look, I fully expected to come out of the gate this morning with a scorching hot take on how insufferable Tony Romo was yesterday.
And Tony was bad. Don’t get me wrong. I literally muted the game for 30 seconds. Serious. Couldn’t do it.
But he was ham and eggs compared to Cris Collinsworth, who had a shockingly bad show in LA last night. I didn’t see it coming. I’ll be honest with you. I love Collinsworth. Really and truly.
Here’s a man! I don’t mind. No way.
But fair is fair, and if I have to burn Romo fifteen weeks a year, I have to open the forum to other complaints. And last night the entire internet needed a cigarette after four hours of listening to Collinsworth.
I need Collinsworth to make the cut to move forward
Yes, that last one gets me every time. What? What on earth is Collinsworth talking about here? I don’t understand.
And yes, he was constantly talking about Pat Mahomes and the Chiefs last night. It was insane. Almost as if someone paid him for some obscure gambling game on an offshore site. Between him and Romo, I really don’t know who loves Pat Mahomes more. It’s a toss-up at this point.
But Justin Herbert’s stuff was next level from Cris. Comparing him to Ali was a shock to the system the first time I heard it, and he even did it AGAIN later. Twice! What a game.
Regardless, I’d still pick him over Romo, but the gap is closing, and that’s not good for anyone. I need Cris to dial it back a bit and get it back on track during the second half of the season.
I don’t like blogging about how lame he is, so let’s get back to normal and bother Tony again this time next week.
So y’all there.
