Two episodes down, four more to go.
The second episode of Season 5, Part 2 of “Yellowstone” aired Sunday night, a week after the season premiere revealed the fate of Kevin Costner’s character on the show.
Costner has played John Dutton since the 2018 Paramount Network premiere, but announced in June that he would not return for what were billed as the final episodes.
And while a record number of fans tuned in earlier this month for the premiere of Season 5 and Part 2, there was one vacancy in the audience.
“I haven’t seen it,” Costner told SiriusXM’s “The Michael Smerconish Program” last Monday. “I’m going to be completely honest. I didn’t know it aired last night. That is a moment of swearing to God. I swear to God. I’ve seen ads with my face everywhere and I think, ‘Gosh, that’s not me.’ I won’t be there this season.”
