BUENA PARK, Calif. (KABC) — About twenty riders have been stuck for over an hour during a ride at Knott’s Berry Farm due to technical problems.
“At approximately 2 p.m., the Sol Spin ride experienced technical issues that halted the ride. We are currently working to safely evacuate guests,” a Knotts Berry Farm spokesperson said.
Air7 arrived on the scene at around 3.30pm while rescue efforts were underway. Mechanics were seen working at a crane on the side of the ride trying to get the ride moving.
The ride was stuck in a horizontal position, with some riders appearing to lean sideways. No riders seemed to be hanging upside down.
The Sol Spin ride takes place in the Fiesta Village area of Knott’s Berry Farm. It is a fast spinning ride that turns in three directions at once.
This is a breaking news story. Check back later for updates.
