Tottenham are confident of securing the future of Heung-min Son

Strengthening the South Korean legacy at Tottenham as Spurs close in on a long-term contract deal with Son

According to Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur are confident of finding an agreement with Heung-min Son for a new contract after the end of the current season.

The South Korean is currently tied to the North Londoners until June 2025, with the club having the option to extend his contract for a further year. Son has been a key figure at White Hart Lane for years, and his importance at N17 has grown following the departure of Harry Kane ahead of the start of the current campaign.

Officials at Tottenham have held talks with the 31-year-old’s representatives, and all parties expect to reach an agreement. Last month there were reports that Spurs were delaying talks over a new contract with Son to focus on the current season as the club strengthened their bid to qualify for the Champions League. It looks like they’ve picked up on those conversations as we head into the offseason in a few weeks.

Football Insider’s report claims Son has received a “huge” package, reminiscing on his importance at the club. It’s a huge show of confidence from Tottenham, signaling their intention to keep their star striker for years to come.

Securing the long-term future of the South Korean star, who has scored 19 goals and provided six assists this season, would be a huge boost for the north Londoners. With Son turning 32 this off-season, a long-term contract would mean he will spend the remainder of his playing years at Spurs.
