BJP’s Amit Shah, Kishan Reddy, Madhavilath and Raja Singh booked for allowing children into election campaign

HYDERABADA case has been registered against Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy at Moghalpura police station for being seen with some minor girls holding the BJP flag with the slogan “ab ki baar, 400 pairs”.

G. Niranjan, senior vice-president of TPCC, filed an email complaint with Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj on May 2 about the incident that took place in the city on May 1.

The rules of the Election Commission’s Model Code of Conduct (MCC) were allegedly violated by the BJP leaders.

During the Home Minister’s roadshow, some children held a banner with a lotus symbol on it and the slogan written on it. This concerns a complaint submitted regarding non-compliance with the MCC.

Niranjan complained that the BJP had ignored the MCC and that the party had conducted a campaign involving children, which was against the rules. The rules.

During BJP candidate Madhavi Latha’s campaign in the Hyderabad Parliament, some minor girls came on stage when the Home Minister beckoned them to enter the stage. Responding to the complaint, the EC has directed the Hyderabad Police Commissioner to conduct an inquiry into the incident.

Commissioner of Police Kothakota Srinivas Reddy directed South Zone DCP Sneha Mehara to conduct an inquiry and submit a report. Moghalpura police have investigated and registered a case under crime number 77/2024 under section 188 IPC

The contents of the petition in the email sent by Niranjan reads: “The Election Commission recently directed the political parties not to use the services of children and their participation in election-related propaganda or activities. Home Minister Amith Shah participated in an election rally from Laldarwaza to Sudha talkies in the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency on May 1, 2024. The meeting concluded with a public meeting at Sudha Talkies, where you can find a few children on stage along with Amit Shah.

“One of the children was seen carrying a banner with a BJP symbol. This is a clear violation of the Election Commission guidelines. We attach a photo here for your perusal.”

Based on the contents received, a case was registered against the accused in Cr.No: 77/2024, U/S: 188 IPC.
