AXA XL appoints Matthew V. O’Malley as Chief Client & Distribution Officer

AXA XL has appointed Matthew V. O’Malley to the newly created role of Chief Client & Distribution Officer for the Americas, reporting to Lucy Pilkothe Chief Executive Officer of the region and Manuel MeierChief Client Officer of AXA XL.

Commenting on the appointment, Ms Pilko said: “Our growth plans are focused on helping our customers grow and succeed. With his collaborative leadership style, focus on data and analytics, and steadfast commitment to customers, Matt is well prepared for his new responsibilities, including engaging with our customers to ensure we deliver the right solutions and deliver substantially more value than the insurance we offer. ”

In his new role, Mr. O’Malley will lead AXA XL’s US zonal teams. Canada And Bermuda country distribution, customer engagement, broker engagement and marketing activities in America. He will work with customers and distribution partners and across AXA XL product lines to foster long-term partnerships to help improve customer experience and engagement.

During his 25-year tenure in the insurance industry, Mr. O’Malley has held numerous insurance and management positions. Most recently, he was the US Country Manager of AXA XL, where he provided broader oversight of AXA XL’s collective business activities in the US insurance market. Previously, he led AXA XL’s North American environmental insurance business for eight years and later also took on responsibility for the underwriting management of our E&S Casualty business.
