Tulip bulbs are available for purchase at Shawnee Co. Parks & Rec. sale of tulip bulbs

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – There’s still time to buy tulip bulbs at Shawnee Co. Parks and Recreation.

SCP+R will host a sale of its tulip bulbs following the Tulip Festival and Tulip Time events at the Howey Greenhouse, 2624 SE 41st St. The sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, May 3, or until the bulbs are sold out.

It costs $5 per plastic bag of bulbs or $10 per five-gallon bucket brought to the sale. The sale even includes a selection of colored and non-colored tulip bulbs, so customers can get a mystery of colors.

The proceeds from the sale go back to the Parks For All Foundation, which also goes towards the purchase of tulips for next year.
