Microsoft will invest $2.2 billion in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Microsoft on Thursday committed a US$2.2 billion investment in artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing in Malaysia to help develop the country’s AI infrastructure.

The tech giant’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Satya Nadella, is on a three-country tour of Southeast Asia – Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia – to announce a series of investments in data centers, AI and cloud services.
