PREDICTED LINEUPS | Roma vs Leverkusen

Roma will be hoping to inflict their first defeat of the season on Bayer Leverkusen and take a lead in the draw when they meet at the Stadio Olimpico this evening.

Roma proved good value in the run to the Europa League semi-finals as they defeated their counterparts Milan 3-1 over two games in the quarter-finals. Despite Zeki Celike’s red card in the second leg, the Giallorossi came through thanks to goals from Gianluca Mancini and Paulo Dybala, while Matteo Gabbia’s consolation in the 85th minute failed to spark a Milan comeback. Daniele De Rossi’s hopes of a top-four finish appear to be fading as the 3-1 defeat to Bologna continues to grow between these two sides in the standings. They face a major threat from Atalanta and Lazio for fifth place, but they can achieve that with a little foresight.

Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen’s unbeaten run throughout the season was under threat in each of their last three matches in all competitions. However, they did manage to secure draws against West Ham, Dortmund and Stuttgart to keep their formidable form going. After securing the Bundesliga for the first time in the club’s history, Xabi Alonso will be hoping to achieve the treble this season by conquering the Europa League and the DFB Pokal. The Werkself haven’t been in the best of form in their previous outings, but it’s hard to imagine them losing now.

Here are the predicted lineups for the match:

Roma (4-3-3): Svilar; Karsdorp, Mancini, Ndicka, Angelino; Cristante, Paredes, Pellegrini; Dybala, Lukaku, El Shaarawy.

Leverkusen (3-4-2-1): Hradecky; Kossounou, Tah, Hincapie; Frimpong, Palacios, Xhaka, Grimaldo; Wirtz, Adli; Arrange.
