A+E Networks director David Bank promoted to Chief Financial Officer

David Bank, director of A+E Networks, has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer.

Bank, a former Wall Street analyst who previously served as EVP, Chief Strategy & Corporate Development Officer at the company, succeeds Art Vomvas. After being appointed interim CFO this past year, Vomvas is retiring after nearly three decades on A+E Networks’ financial and business planning team.

As CFO, Bank will lead the finance functions of all A+E divisions in the United States and around the world, reporting to Paul Buccieri, president and chairman of A+E Networks Group.

With extensive leadership experience in media and finance, I am confident that David in his new role as CFO will continue to help us effectively navigate the business landscape and position us to align our goals in this rapidly changing environment and achieve,” said Buccieri in the official announcement. “I would also like to thank Art Vomvas for nearly three decades of dedication to A+E Networks and congratulate him on his extraordinary career. Art has made an incredible contribution to our company. We are grateful for his leadership and wish him the best in his retirement.”

Bank said his role as CEO would allow him to “work further with Paul and the management team to help the business continue to excel and evolve during this time of transformation in our industry.”

Bank joined A+E Networks in 2019 to oversee the company’s long-term strategic and business development. Before joining A+E, Bank led investor relations for CBS Corp. after a 16-year career at RBC as an equity research analyst specializing in media and entertainment.
