MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A Miami-Dade County man was arrested Wednesday after harassing his ex-girlfriend and vandalizing her vehicle, authorities said.

According to his arrest report, Richie Harry Silvestre, 35, and the victim had an on/off relationship for about a year and a half, but the relationship ended over a year ago.

Miami-Dade police said Silvestre became upset after learning his ex-girlfriend was in a new relationship, so he began harassing her via text messages from different phone numbers.

Police said Silvestre also sent sexually explicit photos of the victim to her friends and relatives on social media, then went to her workplace on April 26 and wrote the word “puta” (a Spanish curse, meaning “whore”) on all sides ) painted with spray paint. of her vehicle.

The vandalism caused more than $2,000 in damage to the vehicle, authorities said.
